Here are some quick unique facts about our school:  
    -Instructor Daniel Camarillo has been a National Champion multiple times in different weight classes in both Judo 
        and Brazilian JiuJitsu for many years.  
    -We are the only school in the valley to have a student win the BJJ World Championship in 2011.
    -We are the only professional school that offers Kung Fu San Soo - a no rules, practical, street-wise self defense 
        style.
    -Instructor Brandon Armer is one of the best Muay Thai instructors in Bakersfield.

The classes are all taught by the best in the industry.  Please click on Instructors to learn more about each of our professional teachers.  We (the masters) are passionate about teaching which is why we do it ourselves rather than have a student do the teaching for us (with exceptions such as being sick)

We maintain a positive, friendly, professional atmosphere.  All students and teachers are expected to be polite, respectful, and professional at all times so that everyone can learn more effectively.

Class size always allows for personal attention.  The new facility is amazing and very spacious.  We expect to continue growing in numbers; there's easily enough room for 50+ people per class.  However, as classes grow, we will create new classes so the class size is never too big.

Our facility rocks!  We have plenty of workout equipment including muay thai heavy bags, teardrop heavy bags, focus mitts, thai pads, kettle bells, jump ropes, medicine balls, etc.  Not to mention a scientifically designed sprung floor system using the best mats in the industry (Swain Mats).  We have a waiting area with cable TV and WiFi for our guests.

We keep it clean!  Our mats are cleaned daily with a special cleaning agent designed to kill 99.99% of all germs and viruses including staph, fungus, HIV, mold, mildew, and pretty much everything a martial artist might fear.  In other words, the cleaning solution is like bleach but doesn't destroy the mats.  We also have rules to ensure our students safety including our mat rule: on the mat - no shoes, off the mat - shoes on.  Most infections are spread by physical contact with other people which is also why our rules require the students to be clean (wash uniform, bathe, cut nails, etc).

All of the instructors and students are encouraged to learn other styles from other schools, to help themselves and each other.  A true martial artist can never learn enough and should respect all people and all forms of martial arts.  Our instructors work together in a family environment to provide the best possible training available in Bakersfield. While we are relaxed and friendly, there is still a certain level of intensity and respect expected from the students.

We go way back in Bakersfield:  The instructors have been teaching in Bakersfield since 1986.  Fighting Dragons Kung Fu opened in 2002 as a small Kung Fu only school.  On October 19th, 2009, we joined forces with Daniel Camarillo (Brazilian JiuJitsu instructor) and opened a new central facility at 2415 Chester Ave (6,000 sq ft).  Kickboxer Brandon Armer joined our team in 2010 to round out the styles we offer.

We also offer classes specifically for women so they can enjoy training in a comfortable, safe environment.  The classes feature the same training as our regular class with special emphasis on moves women will find practical.

We supply our students everything they need.  We carry a full line of martial arts equipment including uniforms, punching bags, safety gear, etc.  We sell these items for a very reasonable price, however, we don't require students to buy from us.
