Brazilian JiuJitsu

You know the name, you've seen it on tv, now come learn it from the best!
As part of our new school we offer Brazilian JiuJitsu, taught by Daniel Camarillo (see Instructors page). Daniel emphasizes that Judo and BJJ are very similar and so he teaches both. Judo is about 75% standup, 25% groundwork. BJJ is 75% ground work and 25% standup. Learning both is the ultimate combo for throws, sweeps, grappling, submissions, etc.

Daniel has led his students to win after win at many major tournaments.  In fact we are the only school in Kern County to bring home a victory (1st place no less) from the Brazilian JiuJitsu World Championships 2011 (the biggest BJJ event in the world)!

You can take this style by itself, or learn it in combination with Kung Fu San Soo. San Soo does utilize ground fighting skills but is more of a standup system, so training in both styles will make you the ultimate "human weapon."  You can also take Muay Thai to develop your standup fighting skills for pro-fighting / MMA.
